Kareena not getting married soon: Karisma Kapoor

New Delhi, Aug 9: Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor Tuesday denied reports that her younger sister Kareena is set to tie the knot with beau Saif Ali Khan towards the end of 2012

"Kareena is not getting married anytime soon," Karisma said here.

Rumour mills have been abuzz with information that the couple - 'Saifeena' - is ready to settle down, and that their nuptials would happen at a palace in Bhopal in royal style. 

A report also said that Kareena's wedding trousseau would be designed by Ritu Kumar

But Karisma's denial proves otherwise.

The charismatic 37-year-old was here to promote skincare product Olay Total Effects, which she feels is the reason behind her "ageless beauty".

"When I started using this product in 2007, it was a life-changing experience. I strongly believe that if you look good, you feel good, and that's just what happened with me," said Karisma, who will be seen on the big screen once again soon.

The actress, who has done films like "Dil To Pagal Hai", "Biwi No.1" "Raja Hindustani", and "Zubeidaa", was last seen in "Mere Jeevan Saathi" which released in 2006. 

She has now teamed up with model-turned-actor Rajneesh Duggal for Vikram Bhatt's film titled "Dangerous Ishq".

"I can't speak much about the film but yes, I am doing it because I think the time was right," said the actress, who looked stunning even in a simple black top and a pair of dark blue jeans.

Not Katrina or Karisma, it's Kareena's voiceover in 'Bodyguard'!

New Delhi, Aug 4: Unlike most films where male actors with a baritone lend their voice for some special scenes, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has given the voiceover for a crucial emotional scene in "Bodyguard".

If the grapevine is to be believed, her elder sister Karisma Kapoor and actress Katrina Kaif were also in the running to do the voiceover.

According to a source from the sets, Kareena, the leading lady of the Salman Khan-starrer had suggested that Karisma's voice should be used for the sequence. Someone else from the production team suggested that Katrina, who has already shot an item number for the film with Salman, should give the voiceover for the scene. However, it was eventually decided that Kareena would do the voiceover herself.

On the other hand, producer Atul Agnihotri says Kareena's voice was always the first choice for the scene.

"I don't know from where is the news doing the rounds. Kareena will always be my first choice to lend her voice for this crucial scene. After all 'Bodyguard' is her film and she is our leading lady in the movie," said Agnihotri.

"Bodyguard", a remake of an eponymous Malayalam film, is a romantic action project. Releasing Aug 31, it is directed by Siddique.

Shah Rukh, Priyanka, Kareena set to rock Eid event in Dubai

Dubai, August 2 : Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan along with Indian musicians Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan and actresses Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor are all set to perform at an Eid event in Dubai.

American rapper 50 Cent and Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram will enthral music buffs at the event as well.


The show that will also feature a host of Arab, Iranian, Indian and Filipino performers, will be held on the sidelines of a consumer fair called Shoppiesta, and continue for five days at Meydan from August 3 with every night featuring two concerts.


According to organizers, apart from the concert, there will be shopping stalls, adventure sports arcades and a host of other entertainment and lifestyle attractions as well.


“We’re aiming for the masses. The majority of the tickets are going to be very well priced, starting at Dh40 for the concert and Dh5 for entry to the fair,” Gulf News quoted Krishna Ramanathan, the managing director of Citron, which owns Shoppiesta, as saying.


“This is not an elitist event. The event will feature all the things Dubai does best, from adventure sports, shopping and leisure activities during the five-day public holiday period all under one roof and all at very affordable prices,” Ramanathan added.

Karan Johar plans Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham sequel...

A sequel to the 2001 blockbuster starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan is in the pipeline, confirms Karan Johar

Ten years after its release the multistarrer blockbuster Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, finally gears up for a sequel.

Though Amitabh Bachchan had been blogging about the possibility of a venture that takes the travails of the Raichand family forward, for some time now, director and producer Karan Johar confirmed to Mumbai Mirror that he would indeed like to recreate the magic of K3G, soon.

Admitting to the fact that K3G 2 is indeed in the pipeline, Karan said, "It's a workable idea. I am no longer averse to it. It would be a bold step if I make it."

Also, the fact that the six key cast members of the film - Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor are all gung-ho about the sequel makes the project a certainty.

"It's very strange. But all the six main members of the cast are as dear to me now as they were 10 years ago when I made the film. I'm sure they're as charged about the sequel as I am," said Karan, who had already revealed his plans about the sequel to the concerned members of the cast.

In fact, the seed of the idea for a sequel was planted by one of them.

"At first, when his friends suggested a sequel, KJo just laughed it off saying that it was financially impractical to attempt something so big in this day and age.

However, Big B made him realise that a sequel was not only possible but also desirable. Mr Bachchan also said that only Karan could pull it off," informed a source.

Talking about the sequel, Big B even revealed on his blog, "It would be a story on the growth of the brothers and the problems that arise because of their independent understanding and working of the business empire of the father, a split within them and so on..."

The recent success of sequels added to Karan's conviction. With the Golmaal, Dhamaal and Murder franchises doing better than most first time films this year, the idea for a multistarrer sequel gained ground.

With Dostana 2 failing to take off, a sequel to the Raichand family saga might be what Dharma Productions needs to join the trend.

Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001 was nominated across fifteen categories at the Filmfare Awards.

It won five, making this one of the 'tallest family films' by Dharma Productions. And if all goes well, we may soon be seeing the Raichands repeat their success on screen, ten years after they first made an appearance.

Although, it is still not clear which version has been leaked online. The bad news for the makers is that now the full song is available online along with its lyrics!!

Buzz also has it that SRK is keen on making this item track a superhit. He wants it to beat the likes of Munni and Sheila. Initially, Deepika Padukone was approached for this song, which was again washed away as mere rumors.

Shah Rukh Khan thanks Kareena for working hard, fast!

New Delhi, June 20 : Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has showered praises on his "RA.One" co-star Kareena Kapoor for her hard work and sincerity in completing the shooting in time.

"Finished the last few bits and pieces of 'RA.One' with Kareena. Want to thank her for working so hard and fast...she was such a sport. Hope we haven't tanned her too much in the hot sun," Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page.

The actors were busy shooting portions of the film in Hyderabad. "RA.One" is a much-awaited superhero film, in which Kareena plays Shah Rukh's love interest.

The movie is set for release on Diwali.

Saif Ali Khan denies Kareena break-up rumour

New Delhi, June 19 : Actor Saif Ali Khan has denied reports that he and his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor are going through a rough patch, saying they are happy together.

"I would like to reassure our fans and well-wishers that all is well with Kareena and I...we are working hard but we always make time for each other. All these rumours are disturbing and untrue...especially when families are brought into it in such bad taste. I wouldn't like to say anymore except we are very happy together," Saif, 40, said in a press statement.

Saif and Kareena, 30, who are considered one of the hottest couples in Bollywood, are seeing each other for the past four years. And they even featured together in films like "Tashan" and "Kurbaan".

"The news has deeply disturbed both the couple and their respective families. They have always been open about their relationship and are alarmed with these rumors planted by people with vested interests," said a source.

Dharma's Short Term Shaadi with T-Series

Mumbai, June 19 : For the first time ever Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has struck a deal with T-Series for its forthcoming movie Short Term Shaadi.

Currently T-Series has the audio-video copyrights over 40 forthcoming Hindi films. Prior to this the music rights of Dharma Productions where released by Sony Music India.

“I have always loved the films made by Karan Johar, not only for their content and aesthetic appeal, but also for their beautiful music, which has always been their major strength. We are delighted to have acquired the music rights of Short Term Shaadi. And we hope that this is just the beginning of a long creative association,” said T-Series chairman and managing director Bhushan Kumar.

Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Shakun Batra, Short Term Shaadi is an out and out romantic comedy that has Imran playing a role – that of a highly conservative, fussy architect, with a rigid attitude.

He falls in love with Kareena Kapoor, a liaison which changes him completely.

Kareena potrays the character of a hairstylist who teaches him about life and love.

The film takes place in a compressed time frame of a little more than a week and deals with how my character changes within that short span of time. It has been shot in Las Vegas and India.

Bebo’s Hot New Avtar in Ra.One

Kareena Kapoor‘s hot new look from her upcoming movie has been revealed. Bebo did manage to lose 5 kilos much to her and her dietician Rujuta‘s delight, after strict diet regime of 21 days.

Kareena is playing Mummy to eight-year old son of Shahrukh.

SRK‘s look in Ra.One was much talked-about. Kareena did herself to get a sexy look.

Kareena asked her dietician Rujuta Diwekar to prepare a special diet for her so that she could lose few kilos for a particular song called ‘Chhammak Chhallo‘.

It was quite a challenge for both Kareena and Rujuta to get the desired results as Bebo was shuttling between Las Vegas (where was shooting with Imran Khan for Short Term Shaadi) and Mumbai. However Rujuta ended up preparing 3 different diets for her – one for her stay in Mumbai, one for her stay in Vegas and believe it or not… even a diet to be followed while in flight.

Bebo Was Shivering In An Off-Shoulder Outfit

An interesting tidbit on Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor from the shoot of their spy thriller, Agent Vinod. A few weeks ago, when they were filming in Latvia, it was freezing, considering the thanda thanda cold cold winters high up in the north location.However, it seems like Khan had it easier shooting in the outdoor locations as he was wearing a coat for his scenes... while Bebo was shivering in an off-shoulder outfit.

My super sleuth recalls the actor-producer’s take on his comfort as against his heroine’s in such adverse weather, saying that Khan conceded that while heroes don’t have much trouble, heroines end up looking better despite working in tougher conditions. Kareena Kapoor Loves Being Eco-Friendly

She left last night for Switzerland on a 10-day trip with beau Saif Ali Khan. The couple will be staying at a chalet-hut owned by the Gstaad Palace which runs on solar energy.Says a source, "Bebo and Saif believe in preserving the eco-system in their own way. Last year, she had promoted eco-friendly handbags. Every year, they re-cycle their fir trees during Christmas.

This year, Kareena and Saif will be staying for a few days at the Gstaad Palace in Switzerland and then shift to a wooden hut (the Walig Hut) built like a small 18th century chalet at 5000 feet above sea level. The 300-year old hut has been carefully restored with basic plumbing and solar-powered electric lighting. Saif loves skiing, so every year the couple have been spending their New Year’s on the Swiss Alps."

The chalet-hut is very expensive costing over £1, 000 per night for two adults. This includes a sumptuous three-course meal with wine and champagne. The hut’s back-to-nature experience is an attraction to people who normally live their lives in comfort.The couple will initially spend a few days at the Tower Suite in the Gstaad Palace. "The Gstaad Palace offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Swiss Alps and is one of Saif’s favorite hotels.

A wide variety of activities such as golf, heli-skiing, hot-air-ballooning et al are available near the hotel."Built in 1913, the Gstaad Palace is set on a hill overlooking the beautiful town it is named after. The tastefully decorated 104 rooms include 29 junior suites, and the luxurious and sophisticated three-bedroom Penthouse Suite. The Palace offers gourmet dining in five different restaurants, live entertainment in two bars, and dancing at the famous GreenGo nightclub.

Before leaving for Switzerland, Kareena took an entire day off from work and spent it with her dad Randhir Kapoor. A source close to the actress says, "Kareena has been constantly shooting for her films and ads and hardly had any time to spend with her father. Incidentally, he too was holidaying in the USA. They met up for lunch yesterday and spent the whole day together catching up."

The Clash Between Priyanka Chopra And Kareena Kapoor

The B-town beauties, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor, who don’t see eye to eye over Shahid Kapoor didn’t leave the golden opportunity to take digs at each other on Karan Johar’s controversial show Koffee with Karan.

Kareena Kapoor who came along with beau Saif Ali Khan in the show said, "I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from?"

When asked to comment on Kareena’s query, Priyanka Chopra, who came along with rumoured boyfriend Shahid Priyanka-KareenaKapoor on Karan’s show had a smart reply for her arch rival, "I want to tell Kareena that I got my accent from the same place where her boyfriend (Saif Ali Khan) got his," referring to Saif and her education overseas.

According to reports, Priyanka later told a couple of people in the industry, "I’m flattered that Kareena thinks I am a good actress. But otherwise I don’t think people take Bebo too seriously."

Priyanka left no scope for doubt that the actors shared icy vibes, when she was asked what would she steal from computers of Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid, Kareena and others. Priyanka giggled and asked, "Does Kareena have a computer in the first place?"

Mercifully these two don’t pretend to be friends. Of course, when asked direct questions about each other, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra — who bonded during Aitraaz and fell out over Shahid Kapoor — normally say innocuous things like, "Oh, we have no issues with each other. Blah, blah..."

But the fact remains that they do have very strong issues. And these came to the fore recently when Kareena bared her fangs on a talk show and said, "I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from?"

Saifeena Planning To Tie The Knot Around 2012

Kareena Kapoor might be very satisfied on both her professional and personal life but little did we know about her mood swings. Off late, the actress has been quite a bit irritated and wants to be left alone. And there are times when she does not even want her beau Saif by her side.

Kareena Kapoor Is Not Very Happy With Rohit Shetty

Director Rohit Shetty has carved a niche for himself in the industry with his blockbuster Golmaal series. With his unique sense of comedy he has managed to create popular characters in the film who have their unique traits and perfect comedy timing.

However, it is reported that actress Kareena Kapoor, who has been a part of the series from the second film, is upset with the director of the film. In Golmaal Returns, the second part, Bebo was portrayed as a television serial freak, married women named Ekta, who kept on suspecting her husband (played by Ajay Devgn). The chemistry between the two was apprecaited by the people and the film turned out to be a big hit of the year.

However, Kareena is not very happy with the developments made in the third film. She says that the treatment of the film this time is very boring and the film has a lot of repetitive comic situations. She reveals that she was fed up of shooting in the same locations again and again.

Reportedly, Bebo is quite miffed with the director Rohit Shetty. According to her, Rohit has given a very out-dated look to the third film, which will hit the theaters during Diwali. The reports also suggest that most of the scenes in the film have been shot in Goa where the earlier two films were shot. Kareena is very annoyed with the repetition of the shooting location and thus doubts the directing skills of Shetty.

As per the sources, Bebo thought that the shooting locations could have been changed to give the film a different look. A recent report has indicated that Kareena wants Rohit to shoot the film in foreign locales.

The Race Between Kareena Kapoor And Aishwarya Rai

The race between two first rank Bollywood actresses, Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai, for the number one spot is on, according to a Pakistani paper Saturday.

"Kareena Kapoor’s film ’Golmaal 3’ and Aishwarya’s ’Action Replayy’ will be released simultaneously due to which an intense competition has begun between both the beauties," a report in the Urdu daily Jang said.

While Kareena stars opposite Ajay Devgn in "Golmal 3", Aishwarya has been cast opposite Akshay Kumar in "Action Replayy".

"Now it remains to be seen which of these two films wins over the audience’s heart and does more business in the first week after its release," the report said.

"You can't work with Kareena and not do yoga. It is a given that you will have to include it in your fitness regime.

Kareena Kapoor Loss Weight For Karan Johar

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Tuesday laughed out reports claiming her filmmaker friend Karan Johar has asked her to shed weight for his movie, saying she is happy with the little that she has gained recently.

"I read the report on the flight today (Tuesday). It is completely false. I am not going to lose any weight. I have gained a little recently and I am very happy with it," Kareena told reporters here at a press conference of her film "We Are Family".

"I am amazed Karan has told the whole world about it but has not discussed anything with me," she said sarcastically.

Releasing Sep 3, the film stars Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal and is said to be the Indian version of Hollywood hit "Stepmom".

The actress, who claims the film is her 40th project, says the film has helped her in strengthening her bond with co-star Kajol.

"I have always admired Kajol as an actress. We have worked together earlier in 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' but we had very few scenes together.

"But in this film, we got a chance to share a lot of time and you will find us together in almost every frame. We have become very close friends now," Kareena said.

Kareena Kapoor To Become A Mother

In real, Kareena Kapoor is yet to become a mother but she has already experienced the feeling of having a baby bump. It all happened during the shooting of of Ra. One.

Kareena Kapoor was spotted with a baby bump on the set of Ra. One. One particular scene requires Bebo to become pregnant and for the fist time in her career, she portrayed the role of a pregnant woman.

In the film, she plays mother to an eight year old. Ra. One is a superhero flick, starring Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead role. Speaking about the film, King Khan said, "Ra.One is a superhero film.

There is a good guy, there is a bad guy, there is a beautiful girl, there is a wonderful singer and a fantastic director".

"It’s a kind of film, a genre we guys haven’t tried at Red Chilies. On behalf of the whole team, I would like to try and I hope we succeed. It’s a new thing for all of us, so we are giving it our best shot," he added.

Currently, Kareena and Shahrukh are shooting in London.

Bollywood’s Most Celebrated Couple’s Living Room

It’s got nothing to do with the sky-high prices of real estate in Bandra west. But, the top storey flats in the upcoming apartment opposite the landmark building Fortune Heights is selling at more of a premium than penthouses elsewhere in the area.

The reason? Fortune Heights is where Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan live. They have an apartment on the 10th floor. And Saif’s production house has its office on the second. Now the wily builder of the building across is rumoured to be looking at a “good price” for the flats that overlook Bollywood’s most celebrated couple’s living room!

When Saif bought the penthouse, it was one of the most coveted properties in the area. The actor, who lived in Versova, took a lot of time selecting this apartment. He also bought a huge office on the second floor. Then, Kareena moved in. However, as is the case in every bylane of Mumbai, suddenly there is another tall building across the road. And Saif and Kareena are seriously house-hunting again.

Bebo, who didn’t know too many details of the opposite building, said, “Saif and I love our current home. It has a very good vibe. But, yes, I can see other buildings have suddenly cropped up. And at some point our privacy may be compromised.

So we are looking at buying a bungalow in and around Bandra. It’s hard to find the kind of home that Saif has in mind. He wants a very English-styled villa!” If they don’t find that, the next best thing to do would be to buy the top storey flats in the building opposite!
