Red alert: Did Pippa Middleton go too far with her plunging halterneck dress?

By Daily Mail Reporter

Pippa Middleton wore a red satin gown by Temperley and clutch by Wilbur & Gussie for the Boodles Boxing Ball charity event on Saturday night

Pippa Middleton quite clearly stole the show at a charity boxing match on Saturday night.

Despite being surrounded by Royals and celebrities, no one could argue that the Duchess of Cambridge's sister was the centre of attention.

While her plunging red halterneck dress by Temperley was on trend - both Geri Halliwell and Prince William's ex girlfriend Jecca Craig wore similar versions to the event - Pippa's gown was slightly more revealing.

The Duchess of Cambridge's sister is used to causing a stir wherever she goes

Not subject to the same protocol as Kate, the pretty brunette can wear whatever she wants and get away with it.

But did Pippa need to make such a bold wardrobe statement?

At the Royal Wedding, her fitted but demure Alexander McQueen dress was enough to propel her to instant stardom.

Geri Halliwell, left and Jecca Craig, both wore similar dresses to the event

And up until now, she has always presented herself as elegant and ladylike with her style choices - a refreshing alternative that has no doubt contributed to her popularity.

She was however subject to an embarrassing moment at London Fashion Week earlier this month.

Pippa almost - but not quite - suffered a wardrobe malfunction when her dress pulled up after she sat down.

Pippa experienced an uncomfortable moment at London Fashion Week last month when she almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction

She spent the duration of the show holding her hands tightly clasped together.

But on Saturday night, Pippa confidently carried off the Begonia Dress from the Autumn / Winter 2011 collection.

However, Daily Mail's Style Director Liz Jones called the outfit 'inappropriate'.

Pippa's Royal Wedding outfits propelled her to stardom

She said: 'The dress is completely inappropriate, with no support.

'I hate cleavage at the best of times, and Pippa cannot now really object to any comments about her shape or hounding by the press as this dress says, Look at me!

'You see the problem is this dress looked great on the catwalk, but the model was flat chested.

'The look doesn't translate as yet again a designer hasn't made a dress with a real woman (no matter she has connections) or real social occasions.'

Either way, Pippa continues to be a constant source of fascination.

And regardless of her wardrobe choices, that is unlikely to change anytime soon.

How passionate Pippa gave her chap a smacker at 4.30am after boxing match

By Colin Fernandez

Smooching: The couple share a tender kiss

They had just spent several hours watching well-bred young men beat each other senseless in the boxing ring.

Even at 4.30am, however, Pippa Middleton and Alex Loudon were still in romantic mood.

The couple shared a lingering kiss yesterday as they waited for a cab outside a London hotel where they had attended the Boodles Boxing Ball charity event.

Pippa gazed tenderly into her boyfriend’s eyes before the lateness of the hour caught up with her and she failed to stifle a yawn.

The couple’s body language dispelled any remaining suspicions that they had drifted apart following 28-year-old Pippa’s show-stealing appearance at the royal wedding in April, when her pert derriere won world-wide admiration.

Mr Loudon, 31, a former cricketer who played for England in a one-day international against Sri Lanka in 2006, is now a financier.

He and Pippa, younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, have been dating for more than three years.

For Saturday night’s event at the Park Plaza Hotel, she wore a striking red gown with plunging neckline and gold high heels with matching clutch purse.

Also attending the ball, which cost £1,950 per table of ten, were Geri Halliwell, Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy and his brother William’s old flames Jecca Craig, Olivia Hunt and Isabella Anstruther- Gough-Calthorpe.

There was no sign of the princes, but their cousin Princess Beatrice made an appearance in a floral gown.

The Mail understands that Miss Davy is now dating Jamie Richards, the 29-year-old son of Aston Martin boss David Richards.

An adoring gaze from Kate's little sister... earns a similar look from boyfriend Alex

A well-placed source said the pair have enjoyed numerous romantic dinners and a cruise along the Thames over the past two months.

‘Although it is early days, they are very comfortable with each other and Jamie is proving to be a welcome distraction from her break-up from Harry,’ the source said.

‘Jamie is confident, rich and loves rugby – just the sort of guy Chelsy goes for.

Happy couple: Pippa and Alex Loudon at Wimbledon in June this year

‘They have told their close friends about each other, but are cautious about appearing at official events together yet.’

Jamie’s father, who was made a CBE in the 2005 New Year Honours list for his services to motorsport, is former head of the BAR and Benetton Formula One motor racing teams.

Return of the derriere: Another wedding, another dress, but this time Pippa makes a fashion faux-pas

By Charlotte Griffiths

Going green: Pippa arrives at the wedding of Humphrey Bowles to Hattie Dawson

Since appearing in THAT dress at her sister’s wedding, Pippa Middleton has been hailed as a global style icon.

But she made a rare fashion faux-pas at a friend’s wedding yesterday, when she turned up in vivid green - a colour traditionally associated with bad luck at marriage ceremonies.

Still, the elegant below-the-knee silky dress certainly showed off the 27-year-old’s enviable assets, and was topped with an elegant black feather fascinator.

Ignoring the old adage ‘weddings and green should never be seen’ was not Pippa’s only fashion fault, however, as she also wore cross-strapped suede high-heels - and the aristocratic set consider heels unsightly at weddings. Only kitten-heeled shoes are deemed acceptable in the country.

Pippa was at St Oswald’s Church in Lythe, near Whitby, North Yorkshire, for the wedding of her old friend from Edinburgh University, Humphrey Bowles, to bride Hattie Dawson.

Pippa attended without her boyfriend of two years, Alex Loudon, a 30-year-old financier, arriving instead with her mother Carole, 56, her father Michael, 50, and 23-year-old brother James.

A source said: ‘The Middleton family were placed on the top table to “preserve their privacy”, but there were whispers that this privilege had been requested rather than granted because Carole is not really that close to the couple.’

It was the fifth wedding Pippa has attended this year, including her starring role at her sister Kate’s Westminster Abbey ceremony in April.

Ex-Army team guarding Pippa and family since their profile soared at Royal Wedding

By Rebecca English

Wedding guard: Heyrick Bond Gunning watches over Pippa Middleton on the day of her sister's wedding

The discreet gentleman seen here watching over Pippa Middleton on the day of her sister Kate’s marriage to Prince William has been revealed as an ex-Army officer whose security firm is advising the family on their personal safety.

Heyrick Bond Gunning, a former captain in the Grenadier Guards, is the director of Salamanca, a ‘global risk consultancy’ that has been advising the Middletons since their profile rose after the royal engagement was announced last year.

While Kate, as Duchess of Cambridge, is now entitled to official police protection, her family – parents Michael and Carole, sister Pippa and brother James – are not, so ‘they have made their own arrangements’, according to a royal source.

‘They aren’t guarded 24 hours a day or anything like that. But they are an ordinary family who have been thrust into an extraordinary situation and have needed help and advice.’

Mr Bond Gunning, 40, wearing a morning suit and his Grenadier Guards tie, played a significant – if unobtrusive – role escorting members of the family on the day of the royal wedding in April.

Since then, he and his team, many of whom are ex-soldiers, have provided the family with advice regularly. The firm, whose clients range from FTSE 100 companies to Russian oligarchs, charges thousands a day for its services.

Approached by the Mail, Mr Bond Gunning said: ‘We can’t talk about any clients by name.’ But he did not deny he was the man photographed with the Middletons on the day of the wedding.

Public-school educated Mr Bond Gunning spent six years in the Grenadier Guards, serving in Macedonia, Kenya and Northern Ireland. Soon after leaving the Army, he was employed by the global postal company DHL to start a branch in Iraq. He arrived in lawless Baghdad in 2003 on the first civilian plane to land there after the conflict.

In his book Baghdad Business School, he described how he built a multi-million-pound air-freight service after starting with the barest of essentials, including a tent and an envelope containing $25,000 (then worth about £14,700) in used notes.

He eventually left to advise companies starting businesses in the Middle East before joining Salamanca in 2007.

Pippa picks up a parking penalty as warden tickets her £40,000 BMW convertible

By Lydia Warren

Fined: Pippa Middleton takes a parking ticket off her windscreen after she was spotted by a warden in London

Since she sashayed down the aisle at her sister's wedding, Pippa Middleton has become used to being the centre of attention.

But yesterday the 27-year-old must have wished her antics were not so eye-catching - after she was spotted by a parking warden.

Pippa parked her convertible £40,000 BMW Z4 outside Scott's Restaurant in Mayfair while she attended a meeting. But when she returned, she found a ticket on the windscreen.

It is not the first time Pippa - nicknamed Her Royal Hotness after her role as maid of honour at her sister Kate's wedding to Prince William in April - has had car trouble.

Just weeks ago, the same car was clamped near to her home in Chelsea.

There have been reports that Pippa is planning to upgrade the Z4 soft-top to an armoured car for protection.

Her millionaire parents Michael and Carole were said to want to buy Pippa a £95,000 bomb-proof Audi or BMW for her safety after she has been propelled into the spot light following the Royal Wedding.

Locked: The bailiff sets to work clamping Pippa's same flash BMW in posh Chelsea, where she lives, just weeks ago

It shall not be moved: Pippa's Z4 was clamped in Chelsea weeks after the Royal Wedding

Like her sister Kate, she has become a fashion idol with the clothes and accessories she wears flying off the shelves after she's pictured in them. So no doubt, hand bag makers Modalu were delighted she was carrying one of their bags, aptly named the 'Pippa', when she made her parking gaffe yesterday.

While her sister settles into a quiet married life on Anglesey, Pippa has been spotted enjoying nights out in the capital.

Last week, she partied with her boyfriend Alex Loudon at Public nightclub, favoured by young royals Prince Harry and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Pippa’s seared snapper... and why it makes her ‘an asset to any kitchen’: How Her Royal Hotness spent four weeks at a VERY select cookery school

By Nick Constable and Jo Macfarlane

Cordon Bleu bloods: Pippa (centre, wearing red necklace) and other students on her cookery course

She boasts one of the world’s most celebrated figures – and Pippa Middleton has also proved to have impressive culinary skills.

The picture below shows Pippa – centre, wearing red necklace – fresh out of Marlborough College attending a prestigious £3,600-a-month cookery school where she excelled after creating a tempting menu of scallops, seared red snapper and caramelised banana bavarois.

Her tutors noted that the meal, meticulously produced after four weeks of dedicated lessons, was ‘beautifully cooked and well presented’ and described Miss Middleton as an ‘asset to any kitchen’.

When the picture was taken, in late summer 2002, her elder sister Kate had started her degree at St Andrews University – and caught Prince William’s eye.

Fellow students on Pippa’s cookery course at The Grange, in Frome, Somerset, came with similarly glamorous, privately educated pedigrees, and Pippa has kept up her friendship with several of them.

Camilla Hook, now a close friend, is set to marry Sir David Atten¬borough’s grandson Sam Holland in Scotland next May, with Pippa expected to reprise her Royal role as bridesmaid. Some of the group even have Royal connections.

Ampleforth and Oxford-educated Sam O’Gorman went on to attend the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst with Princes William and Harry and became a captain in the Household Cavalry, to which Harry belongs. His father was in charge of discipline in the Irish Guards.

Captain O’Gorman, now Aide-de-Camp to the Major General Commanding the Household Division, was in the military procession which led Royal Wedding guests – including 27-year-old Pippa – to West¬minster Abbey.

Also on the course was Felicity Twort, who attended Marlborough with Pippa. She held the senior position at Windsor Castle of Lady Clerk to the Deputy Master of Household.

Other students include Isobel Fowler, daughter of former Conservative Party chairman Lord Fowler, and lacrosse-playing Alethea Eddy, daughter of former Shell UK director Andrew Eddy, who attended Downe House, the Berkshire school where Kate was allegedly bullied.

Fine diners: Violinist Rowena Macrae, who has played at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and Sam O'Gorman, who was at Sandhurst with Princes William and Harry

Jane Averill, proprietor of The Grange, said: ‘Judging by our notes, Pippa was as good a student as we ever see. She came to us after finishing her A-levels, probably as part of her gap year. The students are mostly from private schools and they hope to use a reference from us to get work while they are off travelling or to get a job in a ski resort.’

Mrs Averill, 51, added: ‘From our notes it seems Pippa arrived on her own – there was no particular connection to Camilla Hook, who had come with another friend.

'The fact that the two of them hit it off and developed a lifelong friendship happens all the time.’

For her glowing assessment, Pippa cooked a dish of saffron scallops with spinach and sweet tomato pickle, which involved gently searing the scallops on a skillet, wilting spinach and making the pickle from scratch. She then had to pan-fry red snapper so that its flesh flaked perfectly and serve it on a bed of mashed potato, French beans and red pepper relish.

For dessert, she created a caramelised banana bavarois, a tricky French pudding which involves slow-cooking bananas in sugar and adapting them into a set mousse.

One of Pippa’s teachers, Mrs Averill’s ex-husband William, said: ‘I tasted the meal she produced and it was absolutely excellent. She got a reference which would have impressed any employer running a professional kitchen.’

The notes on Pippa held by The Grange read: ‘She was hard-working, receptive, took every opportunity to learn as much as possible and developed into a competent cook.

‘She chose a very successful menu to stretch her ability. She showed great interest, worked hard and efficiently and needed no help producing a beautifully cooked and well-presented menu which we all enjoyed very much.

‘She showed good kitchen skills, has a confident personality and got on well with everyone at The Grange. She is capable, well-motivated, reliable and an asset in any kitchen.’

Others named in the photo include Harriet Agnew, who went on to study at Edinburgh University with Pippa and is now a journalist reporting on hedge funds in the City, and Timothy Wynn-Jones, from Bath.

Rose Laing has stayed firm friends with Pippa and together they took part in the daunting Highland Cross duathlon run and bike ride in June.

Rowena Macrae, a talented violinist who has played at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, is the goddaughter of Brigadier Mel Jameson, Lord Lieutenant for Perth and Kinross, who produced the event for 11 years. She is part of the Royal set and friends with Rose Laing and Emilia Jardine-Paterson, one of Kate and William’s closest friends. Her family has a Perthshire estate.

Alexander Willson-Pemberton, educated at £5,000-a-term Shiplake College in Oxfordshire, grew up in a detached £2million property in Putney, South-West London, and recently married Carly McDiarmid.

Toby Turnage is an estate agent in Balham, South London, for Douglas & Gordon, and Susannah Palmer, who attended Dunottar School for Girls, in Reigate, Surrey, works in market research for Leapfrog Research & Planning.

Pippa Middleton supports her boyfriend's cricketing efforts but he fails to score a victory

By Sadie Whitelocks

Once again Pippa Middleton has been supporting her boyfriend's sporting pursuits.

Despite claims that her relationship with 30-year-old banker Alex Loudon was on the rocks she looked at ease as she watched the former England cricketer in action.

Armed with a picnic hamper and Waitrose goods Pippa, 27, bagged herself a prime spot on the field talking to players and waiting to greet her boyfriend with a loving embrace post-match.

Pippa Middleton spent a day at the cricket supporting her boyfriend Alex Loudon as he captained the Eton Ramblers in the Cricketers Cup Finals in Hertfordshire

As temperatures topped 21 Celsius Pippa opted for a red hot polka-dot dress - almost identical to the one she wore to Wimbledon this June from the Hobbs NW3 range.

Quashing any rumours of her single status she openly displayed her affections even grabbing a quick kiss during the match. She has been dating Alex for over a year but reports earlier this year revealed that their relationship had ended.

Eton-educated Alex, who previously played for England now captains his school team the Eton Ramblers. Last month Pippa was among the small gathering of devotees who turned up to watch Eton Ramblers, as they beat the Old Eastbournians in the Cricketers Cup, making it to the final round.

Long day: The match kicked off at 11am this morning and finished just after 6pm

Today the Eton Ramblers battled against the Old Malvernians in the finals of the Cricketer Cup at the London Shenley Club in Hertfordshire, but despite Alex's efforts to lead his team to victory the Old Malvernians secured a comfortable win by four wickets.

The Ramblers have won the competition twice - a 50-overs knock-out competition for the Old Boys of 32 schools - in 1992 and 2001.

The match started at 11am with a 2pm break for lunch where players were treated to a lunch of poached salmon, accompanied with new potatoes and carrots followed by chocolate mousse and apple crumble. Proceedings came to an end shortly after 6pm.

Quashing any rumours of her single status Pippa openly displayed her affections even grabbing a quick kiss during the match with banker boyfriend Alex

In 2007 Alex announced his retirement from cricket to pursue a business career enrolling in a Masters In Finance programme at the London Business School the following year.

Pippa, an English Literature graduate shot to stardom when she was the maid of honour at her sister Catherine's wedding to Prince William wearing in a figure-hugging Alexander McQueen gown.

Last week surgeons in the U.S. revealed that her appearance had sparked a wave of surgery requests, with women eager to achieve a similarly pert derriere, requesting what has been termed as the 'Pippa Butt Lift'.

Pippa Middleton: Stylish, Corporate

Hollywood Gossips, Pippa Middleton
Crazy as it sounds in an era where people like Kim Kardashian become famous for no reason, then make a living off being famous, Pippa Middleton has a real job.

The 27-year-old  sister  of Kate Middleton works 2-3 days a week for her parents' event planning company Party Pieces, serving as editor of The Party Times.

Here, she's seen in her dark sunglasses as she began her workweek in London, looking professional in a dark outfit with a leather attaché case:

Pippa also works part-time in an event management role with Table Talk, a company based in London that organizes corporate events and parties.

In the August edition of Tatler, writer Annabel Rivkin examines the hoopla surrounding Pippa Middleton following Kate's April 29 royal wedding:

"It is a truth universally acknowledged that, post-Diana, we need to respect the Duchess of Cambridge's personal space. But it appears to be open season on her sister - will she blossom or buckle under the pressure?"
Blossom, it appears. Early and often.

Pippa Middleton Is Upstaging Her Sister Kate

Pippa Middleton (Sort of looks like British singer Rachel Stevens)

Something strange has happened in England. No, not just Madonna's insane version of the British accent, butchering a classic. Pippa Middleton, the sister of Kate Middleton, who married Prince William last month, has literally upstaged her sister in the world press.

Paparazzi are busy chasing pretty Pippa like she is the one that got married last month. She doesn't seem to mind. There is even a blog about her backside. I kid you not. There are pictures of her all over the net and it didn't dissipate after the wedding.

Articles and blogs are writing about Pippa's love life, grooming and clothing choices, like she is the princess. I've noticed a number of websites I regularly visit that maintain sections on pop culture, feature Pippa more than Kate and William.

This is ironic, as I heard the Queen is not happy with Pippa's party lifestyle. A number of risqué photos have been published of Pippa in various situations and she is frequently seen on the party circuit.
