Stop thief! Oh, it's just Britney... Singer turns armed robber in her new video brandishing a pistol and hiding behind a balaclava

By MARCUS BARNES

Criminal activity: Britney Spears is spotted shooting her new music video Criminal in London today

She was raised in Louisiana so there's plenty of cowboy ancestry for Britney Spears to draw from in her latest music video role.

The superstar singer, 29, is shooting the new promo in London taking on the guise of an armed robber.

Britney is currently in the capital ahead of her huge sell out shows across Europe and, of course, at the O2 Arena in late October.

Fighting fit: The superstar singer showed off her fantastic toned figure in a tiny pair of shorts for the armed heist

In one scene, shot at the town hall in Stoke Newington, north London, Britney throws on a balaclava to play a seductive robber.

Wearing a black leather biker jacket, a white vest with a countryside image across the front, and a tiny pair of black shorts, she certainly made for an raunchy take on the armed robber image.
She was pictured exiting the town hall at speed, gun in hand, presumably to make a quick escape and not because London's trusty boys in blue are hot on her heels.

It's a cover up: The singer slips on a balaclava just before she enters the town hall

Careful with the trigger: Britney slides her pistol into her jeans

Britney is seen in other scenes wearing tight jeans rather than a skirt as she brandishes a pistol at a shop.
In one shot she appears to be pointing the weapon at the shopkeeper, while other shots show her making haste from the store with her boyfriend, and accomplice in the video, Jason Trawick.
Jason looks just as suspicious as his girlfriend, dressing down in a grey beanie hat, checked shirt, greys jeans and worker boots - topped off with a pair of sunshades to complete his 'dodgy' look.

And they're off!: Britney and Jason make a dash for it after pulling off the heist...

Swagger jagger: the duo head for their getaway car with their swag bags full of gooides

The couple looked to be having a riot shooting the scenes both of them beaming with delight as they exited the shop, Jason amusingly carrying a shopping basket as he followed his girlfriend out of the store.
Britney announced she would be shooting her video in London last week, just before she landed on Thursday.
She wrote last week: 'So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks. Can't wait! I LOVE London, it's like my second home.

Give me all your Hubba-Bubba now!: Britney holds up the newsagents at gunpoint

Run for it!: The singer and her boyfriend Jason Trawick play a modern-day Bonnie & Clyde in the video

'Decided to shoot the Criminal video in the streets of merry old England when I get there...'
BreatheHeavy.com report that the video will feature Britney playing the long-suffering girlfriend of a dangerous bad boy.
Their information has that the film will start with the couple attending a lavish event before the trouble-causing lover starts a fight.

Get to the car!: The singer appears relaxed while Jason is still scrambling to get away

Basket case: Britney's boyfriend plays her bad boy lover - his shopping basket contains wads of money among other items

Bullet for my valentine: The couple seemed to be having a great time during the video shooting consistently smiling throughout

A character referred to as Jason - just like the singer's boyfriend - comes along and breaks up the fight, and starts fighting the dastardly lothario.
Jason sweeps Britney off her feet, then the two embark on what seems to be a Bonnie and Clyde-style crime spree.
It will reunite Britney with her I Wanna Go director, Chris Marrs Piliero.

Put your foot on it!: Britney gets into a waiting car to make a speedy getaway

Preparing for assault: Britney Spears is seen with crew members on the set of her new video for Criminal which is being filmed in Stoke Newington, London

All eyes on me: Britney's appearance drew a relatively small crowd, obviously unaware of who was in theit local shop

By Andrea Magrath

Scroll down to watch the trailer

Expecting: The brand new extended trailer for Breaking Dawn reveals Kristen Stewart as Bella with her baby bump

Previously unseen footage of a pregnant and dying Bella Swan has finally been revealed to Twilight fans.

An extended theatrical trailer for Breaking Dawn: Part 1 was released today with the scenes of sickly, frail Bella (Kristen Stewart) fighting for her life and her baby.

The dramatic two and a half minute trailer from the movie, the fourth in the series based on the books by Stephenie Meyer, opens with Bella trying to calm her nerves before walking down the aisle.

Dying: The newlywed is shown for the first time in her frail state
Clutching her father Charlie's arm, she says, 'Just don't let me fall Dad.'

She says her vows with Edward (Robert Pattinson) in a breathtaking setting, with the Cullen family proudly looking on.

Bella's happiness is interrupted as a dishevelled and distraught Jacob arrives to say his final goodbye before Bella leaves as a married woman - soon to be transformed into a vampire.

Heartbreak: Bella is told that her heart will give out before she can deliver her baby

The end? In the trailer, fans see Bella collapse with her husband rushing to catch her

The best friends are seen dancing alone in the dark as heartbroken Jacob tells her: 'This is how I'll remember you - pink cheeks, heartbeat. You'd think I'd be used to telling you goodbye by now.'

A brief glimpse of the newlyweds' blissful honeymoon and wedding night is shown.

Edward's strength breaks the bed frame in the throes of passion; he tells his wife the next morning that 'last night was the best night of my existence'.

Before baby: Earlier, Bella's nerves show as she prepares to walk down the aisle on her wedding day

Breathtaking: The scene is set for the romantic nuptials

Happiest day: Edward can't hide his joy as he watches his bride walk down the aisle

But their honeymoon period is short lived when they discover Bella is pregnant with a half human, half vampire baby.

Bella's health rapidly deteriorates and she is shown looking deathly pale and thin as Dr Cullen informs her that her heart will give out before she can deliver her child.

As Bella fights to protect her baby and live long enough to deliver it healthily, the wolves hear of the unborn child and decide it is a threat.

Family united: The Cullens proudly watch as Edward and Bella say their vows

One last dance: A distraught Jacob arrives at the wedding to say his goodbyes to Bella

Paradise: Edward sweeps Bella away to their own private island for their honeymoon

Pack leader Sam is shown telling them: 'We don't know what they've bred, we have to protect the tribe before it's too late.'

Jacob defects to warn the Cullens that a war is coming for them. 'Bella will be slaughtered,' he tells them.

The nail-biting preview ends with Bella collapsing, and Edward and Jacob rushing to save her life and deliver the baby.

Bliss: Bella awakes after her wedding night in a cloud of feathers

Distraught: Bella's father Charlie is told his daughter is dying

War: With Bella's unborn child an unknown threat, the wolves decide she must be killed in order to protect their tribe

Catwoman Anne Hathaway goes from leather to ladylike on the set of The Dark Knight Rises

By ANDREA MAGRATH

Ladylike: Anne Hathaway is pictured on the Dark Knight Rises set in LA today in character as Selina Kyle

Catwoman's alter ego Selina Kyle is typically portrayed as a petty thief.

But it appears as though the character may be moving on up for Anne Hathaway's portrayal of her in The Dark Knight Rises.

The actress was pictured on the Los Angeles set of the film today looking very prim and proper.

The 28-year-old's ladylike appearance is a far cry from the publicity still released by Warner Bros last month showing Anne in a leather catsuit riding her motorbike.

Hathaway filmed scenes today dressed in a black dress and cropped jacket, gloves, a wide-brimmed hat and heels.

Anne wore a perfect pout of red lipstick and wore prim pearl earrings.

Prim: Hathaway's Selina looks far removed from the petty thief of the DC Comics

While she waited in between takes, the actress removed her jacket to stay cool in the sweltering LA heat, which hit 89F today.

When director Christopher Nolan yelled 'action,' Anne wheeled her suitcase and handbag to the curb and hailed a yellow taxi.

Christian Bale was also spotted on set negotiating traffic. Bale, dressed in a black suit, weaved his way in and out of cars on a busy street.

Hard day's work: The 28-year-old filmed a scene where she hails a cab on the LA set

The actor, who stars as Batman in the film franchise, was seen getting his make-up touched up in between scenes.

Filming moved to California this week from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Little is known about the storyline for this film, which co-stars Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and sees Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine also reprise their roles.

Pictured: New York street turns into a disaster zone for new Avengers movie... as Robert Downey Jr joins cast for more action packed scenes

By ELLIE GENOWER

Disaster zone: A street in midtown New York City was turned into a disaster area earlier yesterday for the forthcoming blockbuster movie The Avengers

With plumes of smoke, a pile up of bright yellow taxis and burned out cars, it looked very much like a disaster had happened in a midtown Manhattan street yesterday.

The road provided the dramatic setting for big budget action movie The Avengers, which is currently shooting in New York as the city prepares to mark the tenth anniversary of 9/11.

Mayhem: New York taxis pile up and a car is burned out on the Manhattan set yesterday

Extras and crew members swarmed around in between breaks from filming the movie, which features a star-studded cast including Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans.

The stars filmed several action shots for the movie over the weekend, all reprising their superhero roles seen in previous films based on Marvel comic characters.

To the rescue: Iron man star Robert Downey Jr was filming in the guise of alter ego Tony Stark in the Central Park area of the city this weekend

Today's dramatic street scenes are clearly a reflection of the film's big budget status - it is rumoured to be costing in the region of $150 million.

Several different scene set ups in the city appeared to have included car pile ups and burned out vehicles, with one area showing with the remains of a jet engine, though to be the superhero's method of transport.

Need for speed: Downey Jr, as alter ego Tony Stark gets into a convertible sports car for one new scene

The film tells the story of Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) director of the peacekeeping organisation S.H.I.E.L.D., who recruits Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) Thor (Hemsworth) and Captain America (Chris Evans) to save the world from destruction.

The weekend saw Robert Downey Jr on set filming in a black sports car, appearing as his suited alter ego millionaire Tony Stark, who becomes Iron Man.

According to Chris Evans, Stark and his character Captain America will see a bit of conflict in the movie.

'I think there's certainly a dichotomy - this kind of friction between myself and Tony Stark,' Evans told MTV.

Ready to save the world; Several cars were destroyed and covered with rocks for use in one scene

'They're polar opposites. One guy is flash and spotlight and smooth, and the other guy is selfless and in the shadows and kind of quiet... and they have to get along. They explore that, and it's pretty fun.'

Elsewhere, Scarlett Johansson has been busy in the guise of her Iron Man 2 role The Black Widow, wearing the character's trademark black catsuit.

Jeremy Renner also stars as Hawkeye, the world's greatest archer, and British actor Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki from recent hit movie Thor.

Renner was seen alongside Johansson and Evans filming some high octane chase scenes over the weekend.

In addition to filming in New York, the cast and crew are also expected to shoot scenes in New Mexico and Los Angeles.

The Avengers team originally made its début in print in 1963 and was created by Marvel comics writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby.

The film is set for release in North American in May 2012.

Pedestrians flee as dustcart ploughs into line of stationary traffic on Glasgow street... but don't worry, it's just filming for Brad Pitt's new zombi

By JAMES WHITE

Driving Hollywood-style: Extras flee as a dustcart ploughs through the streets of Glasgow for zombie thriller World War Z

Glasgow has unkindly been described as looking like a war zone in the past, but today it became a reality thanks to the filming of Brad Pitt's new film.

Transformed to look like the streets of Philadelphia for zombie thriller World War Z, the crew staged an incredible crash sequence featuring a dustcart and dozens of stationary cabs resulting in a policeman going flying through the air.

The scene helps tell the story of a post-apocalyptic world where humans are forced to fight zombies in a desperate battle for survival.

Get out the way: The modified dustcart is targeted by police, left, as it smashes it way through cars

you better run! Crew beat a hasty retreat during filming in Glasgow

Glasgow is the latest city to undergo an amazing transformation thanks to the new zombie thriller.

Workers have so far managed to transform Valletta, in Malta, and Falmouth, in Cornwall, into a world dealing with the aftermath of a global zombie war for the same film.

Not a pretty sight: Zombie dummies are stacked in a trailer at the set

A threat?: How will Angelina Jolie react to Brad's close working relationship with the pretty lady?

In other pictures taken on the set of the movie, Brad, 47, is seen taking a break from filming accompanied by the pretty brunette who is likely to be a set manager.

Of course, his partner Angelina Jolie will have little to worry about - the dynamic between the actor and his on-set companion is nothing more than a professional working relationship.

However her beauty could well cause a slight bit of jealousy on Angelina's part, which is only natural for any man or woman whose partner works closely with an attractive member of the opposite sex.

No wonder Angelina went to Glasgow with him! Brad Pitt's stunning brunette assistant is back on the scene, zombie thriller World War Z

By GEORGINA LITTLEJOHN and MARCUS BARNES

Brunette beauty: Brad Pitt and the unknown lady are pictured during a break from filming on the set of his new film World War Z in Glasgow

He's a pin up for countless women around the globe, but very few of those admirers will ever get a chance to be as close to Brad Pitt as his on set assistant is.

The lucky lady has been looking after the Hollywood actor on the set of his new film World War Z and is sure to be the envy of Brad fans the world over.

Filming is taking place is Glasgow, where the streets have been transformed to resemble those of Philadelphia.

Victims?: The new zombie thriller is based on a book of the same name

Glasgow is the latest city to undergo an amazing transformation thanks to the new zombie thriller.

Film staff have so far managed to transform Valletta and Falmouth into a world dealing with the aftermath of a global zombie war.

And this week the post-apocalyptic scenes witnessed in by locals in Malta and Cornwall have come to Glasgow, as Brad Pitt and his crew bring the living dead to the Scottish city.

The city centre has been transformed into Philadelphia for scenes for the actor's upcoming movie World War Z.

It's looking good, everyone! Brad Pitt talks to crew members as he arrives on set in Glasgow to start filming scenes for World War Z

Welcome to Scotland! Brad gives a cheery wave as he wraps up filming for the day

Apple of his eye: Brad carried his laptop as he left work - perhaps with some more lines to learn when he got back to Angelina and the children

And Brad, 47, was right in the thick of it all as he chatted to his crew and watched as the streets were turned into the US city.

Cochrane Street has been renamed John F Kennedy Boulevard and American road signs and street names were put up while yellow taxi cabs and white police cars lined the streets as Philadelphia came to life.

Keep up the good work: Brad looked happy with the set as he chatted to crew members

Working hard: Crew members line the street and get the lighting and the cameras ready

Glasgow was chosen to double as the Pennsylvanian city because of the huge similarities between them including the architecture, wide roads and grid layout of the cities.

Local people have been recruited as zombie extras and Glasgow City Council said the production will involve almost 1,200 people and the impact on local economy is expected to be more than £2 million.

Ready for your close-up, Mr Pitt? Brad is directed as he prepares for what could be a car chase scene

Buckle up: Brad gives one last look out of the car door before shooting the scene

On film: The star is seen stuck in a traffic jam and a police motorbike knocks his wing mirror off - so he gets out to get the smashed mirror back

The film Brad's latest film is a post-apocalyptic horror film based on the novel of the same name by Max Brooks.

Brad plays Brooks who scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived ten years after the human victory over the world wide zombie epidemic.

Read all about it: Crew members carry American newspaper boxes on to the set

The means streets of Philadelphia: Glasgow is unrecognisable as yellow taxis and American cars line the city's roads

Reclaiming the streets: Crew members climb aboard a cherry picker to put up American road signs

Marc Forster, who directed Bond classic Quantum Of Solace, is the man behind the lens, while Mireille Enos, who plays leading lady Sarah Linden in The Killing, will play Brad's wife.

Brad arrived in the city yesterday with partner Angelina Jolie and their six children - Maddox, 10, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Siloh, five and three-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox - having chartered a Virgin train from London.

Forces united: A Glaswegian police officer looks inside a white Philadelphia police car

Coming through: An actor playing an American traffic cop weaves his way through the taxis

The A-list couple and their six children were snapped arriving at Euston station this morning in a large black people carrier and surrounded by bodyguards and members of their entourage.

When they arrived in Glasgow at 2.30pm, silver vehicles with tinted glass were allowed onto platform 11 to whisk them away from a waiting crowd.

And action! Actors and extras take their positions

In character: Actors dressed as a policeman and a homeless man get ready for their scenes

Who ordered the meat? Locals stand around and watch the action as a delivery truck arrives on set

Speaking to the Scottish Sun, a fan who had been waiting for them to arrive said: 'There were dozens of screaming fans waiting patiently for a glimpse. After all, it's not every day you can say you've seen a Hollywood movie star in Glasgow Central Station.

'But a glimpse was about all people were going to get because no sooner were they off the train than they were straight into some fancy people carriers and off.

You'll need another coat: Rain washes away newly painted crossing lines

Landmark: Workers put up signs for Philadelphia's famous suspension bridge

'Cops and security were trying their best to keep the crowds at bay and it would have been nice if the couple had just waved or something. But even the kids had their heads down.'

The couple are believed to be staying the Carnell Estate Mansion near Kilmarnock and will make the 16th century home theirs for their next few weeks.

Famous commuters: Angelina Jolie walks down the platform with daughter Shiloh while Brad carries his youngest daughter Vivienne
