Whoever said that ex-lovers can’t be friends haven’t seen Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone recently. It seems that the ex-couple have finally buried the hatchet and are trying their best to be cordial with each other. The two met at Imran Khan’s film screening and were seen to be greeting each other affectionately.

Ranbir had expressed his desire to watch ‘Delhi Belly’ and Imran invited him to the trial screening. Also present there were Imran and Avantika’s close friends and Deepika Padukone who has become good friends with her ‘Break ke Baad’ co-star. “There was no discomfort between the Ranbir and Deepika and both were very warm towards each other. Ranbir even sat next to Deepika and watched the film,” said a source.

The two started dating each other in 2008 and broke off after two years of courtship. The reasons for the break-up have been speculated to be a certain Ms Kaif and it was rumoured that Ranbir had cheated on Deepika. Infact, in one of the shows of ‘Coffee with Karan’, Deepika left no stone unturned to lash out at her ex-boyfriend and Katrina Kaif. Now things are back to normal as both of them have moved on. While Deepika is dating liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s son, Siddhartha, Ranbir has been linked to lots of women in the recent times.

Barfee Movie First Look Leaked – Ranbir Kapoor and Lleana DCruz shooting in Darjeeling

The shooting of the much awaited movie ‘Barfee’ has started, and by the looks of it, it seems that actor Ranbir Kapoor and south actress Ileana DCruz are struggling to shoot in the picturesque hill station of Darjeeling, India. An initial glimpse of the movie has leaked out, which shows Ranbir and Ileana shooting for the film. 

In the movie, Ranbir plays the role of a deaf and dumb character, while Ileana and Priyanka Chopraplay the roles of the two women in Ranbir’s life.

While Ranbir and Ileana are busy shooting in Darjeeling, Priyanka is supposed to join the crew for the Kolkata schedule. But there are chances that the shooting in Kolkata may be rescheduled due to the upcoming monsoon in the city.

Even the shooting in Darjeeling is going through a rough phase. The crew are having a hard time while shooting here, as the locals gather in huge number to catch a glimpse of Ranbir and Ileana. There were also reports that the crew had a quarreled with the locals during the shoot on Thursday. Director Anurag Basu, is now thinking of getting back to Mumbai and shoot within the studios for convenience. The script of the movie was written by Basu, keeping in mind the back drop of Darjeeling.

Salman to steal Ranbir’s Girl

Ranbir Kapoor and Salman Khan have history. Ranbir Kapoor began dating Khan’s girl Katrina Kaif two years ago.

The romance began on the sets of their film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (and continued during Raajneeti). Will history repeat itself? It is learnt that Salman now wants to romance RK’s girl Nargis Fakhri.

Towards the end of the year, Salman Khan will get into the super-hero garb for his younger brother Sohail Khan’s film titled Sher Khan (and not Tarzan) as reported. Sohail has worked on the script of this film for a long time and it is wildly exciting, say sources. Even as the girls — Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha and others start lining up for the role of Sher Khan’s leading lady, trade sources indicate that Salman may team up with the Rockstar girl Nargis Fakhri. Says our source, “Sohail either wants a fresh face or he wants his brother to pair up with Nargis.”‘ We hear the producers of Rockstar, who are also advising Nargis on her career, will be happy if she bags a film with Bhai.

It’s official, Current Lovers Ranbir and Katrina in Ayan Mukerjee’s next!

Lovers Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor are back together onscreen in Ayan Mukerjee’s next flick.

A source tells, “Ayan was going back and forth about who to cast in the film. It was a very difficult period given Ranbir’s relationship with Kat was on the rocks. They were going through a rough phase and it wasn’t clear if they would want to work with each other immediately or take a short break. Ayan’s heart was set on Katrina, but he was also considering options.”

Initially, news had it that either Deepika Padukone or Anushka Sharma would be the leading lady of the project. However, now we learn is that Deepika was never in Ayan’s mind, though she is pretty close to the director.

The source discloses, Ayan wants to make a film with RK and Dippy but it isn’t this one. There was confusion after he told a couple of people at a party that he wants to make a movie with Deepika.

Adding that this has been one of the toughest decisions for Ayan, the source says, Anushka would have loved to do the film and had even told friends how excited she was about getting to work with RK. But things didn’t workout and Ayan went back to his original choice Katrina.

Now, Katrina Kaif has been finalized for the leading lady opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Pre-production work for the movie will start in the coming months and there will be an official announcement regarding the casting soon.

Ranbir Kapoor Throwing A Gala Bash For His Friends

Bollywood blue-eyed boy Ranbir Kapoor decided to make the most of his parents’ absence by throwing a gala bash for his friends at his posh Pali Hill bungalow, Krishna Raj.

Talking to a daily, an eyewitness said, “There was nobody at Ranbir’s party till 10pm.

The guests started arriving by 10.15pm. Imtiaz was the first to arrive.”

Celebrities spotted at Ranbir’s party included Arjun Kapoor, Imtiaz Ali, Anushka Sharma, Vikram Motwani, Vikas Behl, Sonal Chauhan, Soha and Kunal Khemu.

Later, Anushka’s boyfriend Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Zayed Khan joined the gang soon after.

“We saw about 100 kilos of ice being brought in. There is definitely going to be a lot of booze in this party, guys,” added the eyewitness.

Apparently, there was no sign of Ranbir’s ex-girlfriends Sonam, Deepika, Katrina or Nargis.

Interestingly, Atul Kasbekar arrived with a pretty girl, rumoured to be Angela Jonsson, Ranbir’s current love interest.

It is believed that Ranbir and Angela have been inseparable for the past few weeks and have been spotted at various night hangouts.

Ranbir Kapoor’s World Tour Has Been Put On Hold

Ranbir Kapoor’s much hyped world tour has been put on hold. Even though the Kapoors had been making lavish preparations for Ranbir’s first ever world tour, the plan has been sacked as of now.

And it’s all owing to the fact that Ranbir doesn’t have many jazzy dance numbers to his name. With no huge dance number to perform at, the dashing actor’s world tour will only go on floor next year.

As per sources, Ranbir’s world tour is set to have performances by Katrina, Bipasha and Malaika Khan. While all these ladies have their respective item numbers ‘Sheila ki jawaani’, ‘Beedi jalaile’ and ‘Munni badnaam’ to dance at, Ranbir doesn’t have a matching hit song.

In August last year, Rishi Kapoor told a section of the media, "You can`t go on a world concert without a bank of songs. Now that Ranbir has a few chartbusters, it`s the right time."

However, papa Kapoor seems to have realised that his son needs a hit number before going for live stage performances.

And with Ranbir’s next film ‘Rockstar’ set for release this year, his family members want the film’s songs to be a part of his much anticipated world tour.

Confirming the news a source said, "Now, because of the IPL it isn`t certain if Rockstar and its music will be released before the scheduled concerts. To Ranbir, going on a world tour without the Rahman songs makes no sense. This is the first time that Rahman has scored music for a Ranbir starrer."

Talking to a news daily, Rishi Kapoor said, "We don`t want to go on the World tour without Ranbir`s ‘Rockstar’ music. And we can only do that if the film is released.”

Ranbir Kapoor Is Moving To Newer Pastures

The actor is currently fascinated by his Rockstar co-star Nargis Fakhri. While his blow hot -blow cold status with Katrina Kaif continues, Ranbir seems to be cementing his relationship with Nargis. Sources reveal that Kapoor has already told close friends that he ’likes’ Nargis and wants to give their developing relationship a chance.

While Nargis is getting to know him better, Kat is slowly and steadily distancing herself from RK. In the last two months, Ranbir -Katrina have had many arguments and fights due to his growing proximity with the newcomer. A source reveals, "Kat feels that Ranbir isn’t coming clean about his relation with Nargis. While he maintains they are working co-stars, she can sense there’s more.

The growing tension between the two got public when the Kapoor lad was heard screaming into the phone on the Rockstar set with Kat at the other end of the line.The fight started when Katrina was informed that the Kapoor lad had gone to drop Nargis at her friend’s place, while he had told her that he was busy at an ad shoot.

"Ranbir doesn’t want to commit to his co-star yet, but he’s admitted to some close friends that there is a possibility of him getting serious. Apart from spending time with her, he’s also been recommending her to producers."Kaif feels that RK shuts himself off after a fight and doesn’t communicate. While she believes in resolving a conflict, he chooses to ignore it and move on.

Buzz is that the actor plans to take the new gal in his life to his sister Riddhima’s house during the New Year’s where the entire family will be celebrating. Is this his answer to Kat heading to Dubai to ring in the New Year?

Ranbir Kapoor And Deepika Padukone's Public Relationship

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone might be taking nasty potshots at each other on TV shows but the two just can’t seem to get over each other.

At least the Kapoor lad appears to be having a tough time moving on, for he is time and again dropping outside Dips house begging for an audience with her.

And this is despite the fact that Deepika has moved on and is now in a very public relationship with liquor baron Vijay Mallya`s son Siddharth

According to sources, Ranbir went to Dips house at 12.45 am. The actor was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. Even though Ranbir insisted that he wanted to meet her, Deepika was in no mood to let him in. Consequently, the guard on duty did not permit Ranbir to go upstairs.

But adamant as Ranbir was, he kept convincing the guard that he should let him go and meet Dips. Confirming the news a source told a daily, “But rules are rules in Cozy Home Apartments (which incidentally is a stone`s throw away from Ranbir`s bungalow, Krishna Raj, in Pali Hill).

No outsider, however big or familiar he may be, is allowed without the permission of the person he is visiting. The guard stuck to his duty like a true soldier."

Left with no choice, Ranbir started calling Deepika. Giving an account of the incident an eyewitness said, "Ranbir was overheard telling Deepika, `Please allow me to come up. I am sorry. I want to explain.`"

However, after much drama Deepika allowed him in, but not before Ranbir had to wait down in the compound for a good half-hour.

Ranbir Kapoor Becomes Mr.Bean In Bollywood

Irony cannot get more ironical than this! The gen-next heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is apparently all set to gain weight for Anurag Basu’s Barfee (which was earlier called as Silence).

Those in the know are aware of the fact that Ranbir’s character has been sketched on the lines of the legendary Charlie Chaplin.

But, if the market buzz is to be believed, then, the latest addition is that Ranbir’s character will also flaunt Mr. Bean’s moves.

News has it that, while Charlie Chaplin was Anurag’s idea, Bean was Ranbir’s brainwave. And in order to look the part, Ranbir is all set to gain weight.

One can only ’weight’ and watch to see if Ranbir really lives up to the sweetness of Barfee.

Kingfisher’s Calendar Model To Act With Ranbir Kapoor

Nargis Fakhri is the new face selected by director Imtiaz Ali for his movie, Rockstar.

After making Brazilian model Giselle Monteiro look like a Punjabi kudi in Love Aaj Kal, he has paired model, Nargis for his film Rockstar with Ranbir Kapoor.

Kingfisher’s calendar model, Nargis Fakhri is half Pakistani and half Czech. According to reports, Imtiaz has finalized this 21-year-old for Rockstar after auditioning several girls.

Though Imtiaz is hesitant to reveal details about the cast of Rockstar, names of models Diana Penty and now Nargis has created quite a buzz in the industry.

American Hit Friends Inspired Movie In Bollywood

Director Siddharth Anand says his new film Anjaana Anjaani, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, is inspired by the hit American sitcom Friends.

"I remember when I watched Friends I wanted to meet and know every character. That’s how I want audiences to feel about Ranbir and Priyanka in Anjaana Anjaani. When Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge came out, you wanted to feel and touch Raj and Simran. That’s how I want audiences to feel about Ranbir and Priyanka…everyone in the team has given his or her best to this film," Anand said.

Anjaana Anjaani has been scripted by author Advaita Kala.

"She wrote a chick-lit novel called Almost Single. I asked her to develop a story by my wife Mamta. Ranbir and Priyanka had no reference points in any film for their performance…These are characters going through extraordinary, not easily relatable circumstances. It’s about few days that two strangers spend together."

Siddharth shot in Central Park’s skating rink. "We shot in iconic New York. We had the skating rink shut down for our shoot for three days. Then we shot with Ranbir and Priyanka in New York’s Caf Lalo where Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks met in When Harry Met Sally."

And they also needed to shoot on a bridge and they finally headed to Kuala Lampur to do that.

"We needed to take over a bridge completely for three-four days. Because of 26/11, we couldn’t get the necessary permission. We finally got the bridge in Kuala Lumpur. They made it as easy for us as shooting in Goregaon. Thanks to our producer Sajid Nadiadwala, we could shoot anywhere I wanted," said Anand, who has made films like Salaam Namaste and Bachna Ae Haseeno.

The whole film was shot in live sound and is set to release on Oct 1.

Contrary to expectations, Ranbir’s singing debut won’t be part of the film’s CD.

"Ranbir has sung a one-and-half minute track. But it is part of a comic scene. So he will only be singing in the film. We needed Ranbir’s character, not Ranbir, to sing. So those who want to watch him sing will have to wait for the film," Anand said.

"I did my first film Salaam Namaste in 2005. If I’m doing another romantic film it better be even cooler and more contemporary. Anjaana Anjaani is the riskiest film ever. I’ve experimented with the style and performances.

"If audiences believe in the couple, they’ll come back repeatedly to watch them. If they don’t they’ll reject them completely. It’s so character-driven. If their performances don’t work, the film doesn’t," he added.

Censor Board's Objections For Congress Leader Sonia Gandhi's Character In Raajneeti

Uncertainty loomed over the release of Prakash Jha’s political drama Raajneeti this Friday, with the Censor Board having objections to certain scenes, which are said to be about Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.

The film has been in the midst of controversies with reports that Katrina Kaif’s character has some resemblance to Gandhi’s life.

Jha, however, has been insisting that his film has nothing to do with real life politics or politicians. "I have just made a film about an election. It is not about Bihar or Sonia Gandhi or the Congress, so I don’t understand the whole controversy," said the filmmaker.

Asked if the Censor Board has taken any decision on issuing a certificate, its Regional Officer Vinayak Azad told PTI "Actually the movie is not with us. It is with the Film Certification Tribunal so they are to take a decision on it."

The film also starring Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Manoj Bajpai is set to hit theatres on June 4.(PTI)
