Mallika Sherawat is hotter in 'Jalebi bai' than 'Shalu ke thumke'!

The crew of 'Double Dhamaal' had quite a treat on the sets and not just with actress Mallika Sherawat grooving sensuously to the song 'Jalebi bai', but also with piping hot jalebis.

Director Indra Kumar used to order as much as 25 kg of jalebis (Indian sweet) daily for the whole unit to feast on. In fact, on the last day of the song's shoot, all the unit members including choreographer Ganesh Acharya and diet conscious Mallika had a party of sorts with hot jalebis.

'The item song was shot at Mehboob Studio, and the mood was so festive and celebratory that we decided to have sweets everyday in honour of the song! We ordered around 25 kilos of sweets for the whole unit and since sweets are always associated with celebrations, the entire mood of the crew used to be very upbeat,' told Kumar.

Mallika is previously being talked about for her sizzling dance in the song 'Shalu ke thumke' from the yet to be released 'Bin Bulaye Baraati', but Kumar tells 'Jalebi bai' is a step ahead.

'The song promos will be up by this weekend, and we are sure it will be a huge talking point! Mallika has outdone herself as Jalebi bai,' he added.

'Double Dhamaal', a co-production by Reliance Pictures and Maruti International, will release June 24. The world premiere of the film will take place on the same date at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) weekend, to be held in Toronto.

Unseen Mallika Sherawat Topless Pose

Mallika Sherawat continues to make waves in the run up to the release of her movie Hissss in which she plays a snakewoman.

In the latest, the actress, presently residing in Los Angeles, has posted a topless pic of her on her Twitter account and asked her followers: “is this too much”.

In the pic, a kohled-eyed Mallika poses topless and has her breasts covered with her hair. There’s snake-skin pattern in the background and on Mallika’s body.

Mallika Sherawat Asked A Jewellery Brand For Rs 10 Crore

According to the buzz in the industry, Mallika Sherawat asked a jewellery brand for Rs 10 crore, when the officials approached her to sign up as their brand ambassador.

Mallika apparently believes that she has made a mark internationally over the past two years, having spent a lot of time in the US.

The brand she endorses will benefit from that and so Mallika believes she is right in asking for a sum that will catapult her to the top of the brand endorsement charts.

Indications are that the jewellery brand is seriously considering her demands.

Mallika Sherawat Clicking Pictures With Hollywood Celebs

Now that she’s moved to Los Angeles, Mallika Sherawat’s favourite pastime seems to be clicking pictures with Hollywood celebs.

After posing for snaps with Usher, Johnny Depp and Salma Hayek, Mallika now has a picture with Sting. The actress has spoken about it on her networking website, too.

But that’s not where it ends. We are told that she even rubbed shoulders with the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Pierce Brosnan, actress Maria Bello, Donovan Leitch and his wife, model Kirsty Hume, producer Charlie Corwin and Michael Lambert at a recent concert.

Salma Hayek To Share Screen Space With Mallika Sherawat

It seems Mallika Sherawat is in no mood to return to India anytime soon. After bagging Love, Barack with Laz Alonso, the buzz is that Mallika may soon share screen space with Salma Hayek in another international project.

Both the actress got friendly during the Cannes Film festival and had a chat about cinema. A source reveals, “Salma Hayek was extremely impressed with Mallika’s film Hisss and complimented her for it.

Even after they returned to the US, they were in constant touch and arranged to meet each other for dinner few days back. That is when Salma narrated a script of a women centric film and suggested that Mallika play the main protagonist.

The movie deals with the abuse women face in various parts of the world. That is the basic gist of the script - it still needs to be worked on. Mallika has really liked the idea and would love to be a part of this film,” adds the source.

IMPAA Has Sent Out A Court Notice To Mallika Sherawat

Mallika Sherawat has a knack for courting trouble. We had reported earlier that Studio 18 had filed a case against Mallika Sherawat at Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) to return the signing amount that she had taken for Kundan Shah’s Masquerade.

The actress had a tiff with the director and the production team and walked out of the film without returning her signing amount of Rs 25 lakhs. Studio 18 has recently won the case which they had been fighting for two years. IMPAA has sent out a notice to Mallika Sherawat to return 50 per cent of the signing amount.”
