London, June 26 : 'Casino Royale' director Martin Campbell has taken a dig at Marc Forster's 'Quantum Of Solace', calling it a "bit of a mess".
The British director credited with reviving James Bond in his highly successful '007' movie has attacked the follow-up, featuring Daniel Craig.
"I thought it was lousy. The story was uninteresting and I didn't think the action was related to the characters. It was a bit of a mess," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
Foster is known to have never made an action film before, and fans said the sequence was confusing and disorientating and the story made no sense.
Even critics dismissed the film, saying that 007 had become a 'charmless thug' and the film was stripped of humour, fun and gadgets.
