Los Angeles, June 23 : Actor Jon Hamm has hit the bull's eye. He has inked a three-year deal with Lionsgate TV and network AMC for TV drama series "Mad Men" and has become the highest paid actor on cable television.
His previous contract for "Mad Men" was for two seasons. The new deal raises his pay significantly in exchange for adding an extra year to the contract, reports imdb.com
The deal's length now aligns it with the one of "Mad Men" creatorMatthew Weiner, who also closed a new three-year deal earlier this year.
After locking in Weiner, Hamm was the studio's top priority, with other key cast members also expected to get good hikes in exchange for longer contracts.
"Mad Men" will return in 2012.
