By Alanah Eriksen

Lucky boy: Flanked by a burly bodyguard, Angelina Jolie took her oldest child Maddiox to Blackbushe Airport where she had a flying lesson today

Most kids his age are happy to play with toy planes.

But Maddox Jolie-Pitt leads no ordinary life, having two millionaire superstars as parents.

The eldest of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's growing brood was lucky enough to accompany his talented mother as she took a flying lesson today.

And always ones to keep her children equipped with up-to-date gadgets, the actress made sure the 10-year-old was occupied with an iPad.

The mother-and-son couldn't hide their smiles as they excited their car at Blackbushe Airport in Surrey, flanked by a burley bodyguard.

Prepare for take-off: Angie, who received her pilot's licence in 2005, sat in the pilot's seat while her son sat in the back

Are you going shopping? Angelina's outfit didn't scream aviation attire bust she looked stylish in the grey maxi-dress and black blazer

Last minute checks: The instructor prepares the tiny aircraft before Angelina and Maddox climb in

Angie, who received her pilot's licence in 2005, sat in the pilot's seat while her son sat in the back.

Her outfit didn't scream aviation attire bust she looked stylish in the grey maxi-dress and black blazer.

Luckily she opted for a sensible pair of flat shoes. Her trademark aviator sunglasses were fitting.

Maddox isn't the only lucky child to get a plane ride with his mother.

Shiloh, five, was spotted strapped in the back of a small aircraft last year in Los Angeles.

It was reported at the time that Angelina had already promised the little girl flying lessons of her own.

Her other children won't be jealous though - their mother took them to Legoland in Windsor this week.

Their father Brad, 47, is in the U.S. after he flew out to attend the premiere of Moneyball in Oakland, California.

The family have made the UK their temporary home while Brad films his blockbuster World War Z.

He and Angelina spent some last-minute alone time over the weekend with lunch in London without their children.

Brad also found time to visit the Ellen show during his quick trip and discussed family life and the possibility of marriage.

Despite Angelina recently hinting that a wedding could be on the cards after the children started asking for them to tie the knot, Brad told Ellen DeGeneres that they still want to wait until gay marriage is legalised across the US.

Mind the head! The instructor lifts Maddox into the backseat of the plane as his movie star mother adjusts her seat

Seasoned pro: Angelina climbs into the plane as the instructor looks on

Are you ready? Angelina looked happy rather than nervous as she was strapped into her seat by the instructor

Meanwhile, Brad told Parade magazine that he 'wasn't living an interesting life' before meeting Angelina, and that he was 'trying to pretend' that his time with Jennifer Anistonwas 'something that it wasn't'.

The father-of-six later released a statement claiming that his words had been misunderstood, and described his ex-wife as 'an incredibly giving, loving and hilarious woman'.

He has continued to backtrack since, telling the Today Show this morning: 'She's good people. She, you know, there, there should be a statute of limitations on this.'

No fear: Angelina Jolie flew low over water in Surrey

Up, up and away: The small plane leaves the airfield with Maddox and his famous mother inside

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux dress to the nines for night out (as Brad 'is read the riot act' over marriage jibes)

By Jade Watkins

Dressed to the nines: Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux looked glamorous as they stepped out this evening for a night out on the town

Lately when they've been spotted out together Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have been happy dressed down and casual.

But all that changed last night when the loved-up couple dressed to impress for an evening with a purpose.

The pair, glamorous in co-ordinated black outfits, were in New York for an art auction in aid of victims of the Haiti earthquake.

Jennifer set the tone in her favourite slimming shade of black, wearing a sexy cowl neck dress which draped perfectly of the actress' athletic body paired with some black stockings and suede knee-high boots.

Meanwhile American Pyshco star Justin retired his biker boy clothes and slipped into a dapper black blazer, white shirt, black jeans and skinny tie.

The couple later dined at New York eaterie Il Cantinori after the Artists for Haiti charity event at Christie's Auction House.

Leggy lady: The Horrible Bosses star showed off her trim legs in a short black dress, tights and black knee high boots for the date night in New York

Cute couple: The pair were seen holding hands as they strolled away from dinner at Il Cantinori in the Big Apple

In the last few weeks the couple appear to have spent every waking minute together
Their attendance at the charity event comes as it was reported that Jen's ex-husband Brad Pitt was 'read the riot act' by Team Aniston over recent comments he made about their five-year marriage.

The actor told Parade magazine that he 'wasn't living an interesting life' before meeting current partner Angelina Jolie, and that he was 'trying to pretend' that his time with Jennifer was 'something that it wasn't'.

Poker face: While Jen was seen smiling Justin kept a straight face as the pair headed home

Chic: The couple looked stylish in their colour co-ordinated outfits as they left for the charity event in New York earlier in the day

And according to Us Weekly, Jen, 'was annoyed'.

'She thought it was rude and inappropriate,' said a source.

Her agents and publicists 'went ballistic' according to a second insider, and wasted no time contacting Pitt's people.

'They got his team involved and Brad was read the riot act - the only way you can read the riot act to Brad Pitt,' the source said.

The father-of-six later released a statement claiming that his words had been misunderstood, and described his ex-wife as 'an incredibly giving, loving and hilarious woman'.

Sexy: Jennifer set the tone in her favourite monochrome shade of black, wearing a sexy cowl neck dress with soft flattering draping

Not happy: Their evening out comes as it was reported that Jen's ex-husband Brad Pitt was 'read the riot act' by her team over comments he made about their marriage

But the insider added: 'No one believes his words were taken out of context - he said what he said. I do hear that he's remorseful.'

Today Pitt went into even more damage control as he appeared on The Today Show this morning.

He told Matt Lauer of Jennifer: "She's good people. She, you know, there, there should be a statute of limitations on this.'

Pitt also shut down Lauer when the television journalist attempted to read the offending Parade magazine quotes to him.

'No, I, you know, please don't read it ... ' he pleaded.

The actor continued to allude that his quotes were taken out of context.

'I don't want to be encumbered by any of that,' he said.

'I know my intentions, and I know what I believe, and I know things get misconstrued. I live outside of, of that, and it's much healthier.'

He also admitted that perhaps he should censor himself a bit more.

'I don't wanna live on guard and I should be more on guard, I guess,' he said.
'It's always been a part of the territory. I've got a knack for stepping into sh*t. And it's OK. It's alright.'

Nothing dull here! Justin Theroux shows Brad Pitt that he's finding life pretty grand with

By Jade Watkins

Nothing dull about Jen! Justin Theroux was completely captivated by his girlfriend Jennifer Aniston as they walked hand-in-hand around West Village, today

Brad Pitt may have described his relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston as 'dull', but her new boyfriend Justin Theroux certainly seems to disagree.

The handsome 40-year-old was completely captivated by his 42-year-old girlfriend as they walked hand-in-hand around West Village, today.

And after a no doubt heavy week with Brad's scathing comments about their marriage, and her estranged mother Nancy struck down with illness, Jennifer's new man was once again making the actress smile.

The happy couple were like a couple of giddy teenagers, laughing and beaming as they made their way around Manhattan to do a spot of shopping.

At one point Justin even lovingly placed a tender kiss on his girlfriend's head.

Both were dressed cosily for the cooler New York conditions.

Happy: The happy couple were like a couple of giddy teenagers, laughing and beaming as they made their way around Manhattan to do a spot of shopping

Jennifer bundled up in a navy pea coat, which she wore over a white t-shirt and black sweater, and slipped on a pair of denim jeans.

She accessorised with her favourite black leather Chloe saddle bag and some Aviator sunglasses.

As always Justin was the epitome of biker boy cool.

The 40-year-old looked handsome in a pair of waxed jeans, a t-shirt of English punk rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees, a black hoodie and a leather motorcycle jacket.

Fixated: Justin couldn't keep his eyes off his gorgeous girl, who was all smiles

He also paired the look with some Aviator glasses and a striped knitted beanie.

Brad Pitt's recent comments about his former marriage to Jennifer are certainly curiously timed.

He has remained quiet since the couple's 2005 split, only to this week infer their marriage was 'dull' in an interview with Parade magazine.

Now there's some argument to suggest that the Moneyball star may be protesting too much about his past and present lives.

Close: Justin kept close to Jennifer and protectively had his arm around her

Now Jennifer seems to have found love at long last and out of all of her loves since Pitt, Justin is the most like him - an edgy character sporting leather often astride a motorbike, and perhaps it riles the star.

Or perhaps, the good-looking younger man is the kind of rebel the father-of-six would like to be.

Either way, it seems that Mr Pitt is a bit miffed that his ex has finally moved on.

Pitt claimed in his now notorious interview that he had been leading a an 'uninteresting' life, referring to his marriage to the Horrible Bosses star.

He said: 'I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony.

'I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic.

'It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself.

Eating his words: Meanwhile over in London, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie leave 45 Park Lane hotel for a spot of lunch

I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't.'

His comments came at an insensitive time for the actress, who rushed to Los Angeles to be by her mother Nancy's hospital bedside after she suffered a stroke at the weekend.

The distraught star was in tears during a recent visit to the hospital to see the 75-year-old, with whom she was estranged for many years but finally reconciled with in 2008.

Fancy a roast? Honorary Brits Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie step out for Sunday lunch

By Holly Thomas

Feeling peckish? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie leave 45 Park Lane hotel for a spot of lunch

They've been the talk of the town ever since arriving on British soil, and the pair appear to have loved every minute of their time here.

Now au fait with London life, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stepped out of 45 Park Lane hotel today to seek out a spot of Sunday lunch.

The couple were somberly dressed, but there was no mistaking the understated stars.

Ushered out of a side door by a member of staff, Brad and Angelia avoided the fabulous but high-profile main entrance, choosing to make a discreet exit.

Angelina wore a loose grey v neck jumper with a long grey skirt, hardly the usual garb of a Hollywood star.

However a Louis Vuitton handbag, patent nude heels and an emerald Style of Jolie with Robert Procop necklace livened up her look.

Discreet: The pair were ushered out of a side entrance

Brad was similarly muted in a black v neck jumper and black trousers.

Nevertheless despite the overcast weather, both celebrities sported their uniform sunglasses.

They have enjoyed a quiet weekend, choosing to stay in last night rather than face the bright lights of London.

Brad, who has been busy promoting his latest film Moneyball, took the covers of Entertainment Weekly and Parade magazine this month.

Understated: The stars avoided the hotel's grand main entrance

In his interview for Parade the star gushed about his happiness to have found Angelina, claiming 'one of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I’m so happy to have her.'

However he has also sparked controversy over his revelations that he felt dull and unhappy during his relationship with ex wife Jennifer Aniston.

'I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic,' he confessed.

Perfect match: Brad has said that one of the 'smartest' things he ever did was to make Angelina the mother of his children

'It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage [to actress Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.'

However he has since stressed that the implication Jennifer was to blame for his boredom was misguided, and has expressed his continued affection for the Friends star.

'It grieves me that this was interpreted this way,' he stated.
The star has nevertheless said that he would love to work with Angelina again.

Under fire: Brad has addressed the misinterpreted implication in a recent interview that Jennifer Aniston was to blame for his unhappiness during their marriage

They struck gold with their 2005 hit Mr and Mrs Smith, and Brad clearly feels that they could do so again.

'We should be doing them together,' the 47-year-old told Entertainment Weekly.

'We should be doing everything together, and then we could work less. We could have more time off,' he enthused.

Moneyball hits cinemas September 23.

'Jen isn't dull, I was': Brad Pitt goes into damage control after cruel comments about married life

By Daily Mail Reporter

Backtracking: Brad Pitt insists his comments to Parade magazine about life during his marriage to Jennifer Aniston have been misunderstood

Brad Pitt says his comments about his marriage to Jennifer Aniston was have been misunderstood.

Pitt gave the unflattering description of his time with his ex-wife in an explosive interview with Parade magazine in which he said he is finally a 'satisfied man' with Angelina Jolie.

In the interview, Pitt admitted that he had 'wasn't living an interesting life' before meeting Jolie and that he spent his five years with Aniston 'trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't.'

Now Pitt, who is promoting his new movie Moneyball says he is upset at the way his comments about Aniston have been used.

'It grieves me that this was interpreted this way,' Pitt said in a statement.
'Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend.

'It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself, and that, I am responsible for.'

For her part, Aniston managed to put on a happy face in Manhattan last night as she stepped out with boyfriend Justin Theroux

Pitt, 47, raised more than a few eyebrows when the candid interview was released yesterday.

He told the publication: 'I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony.

Now a 'satisfied man': Brad with Jennifer Aniston at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2004 and right, with his new and exciting love Angelina Jolie this month

'I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic.

'It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself.'

He said: 'I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't.'

Pitt married Aniston, 41, in 2000 after dating the former Friends star in the 1990s.

They split five years later soon after he filmed Mr and Mrs Smith with Jolie, 36.

Uncensored: Pitt appears on the cover of Parade and inside describes his life in the Nineties as 'pathetic'

Since then the couple have gone on to have six children, three of whom they adopted.

Pitt continued: 'One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I’m so happy to have her.'

The comments cut rather close to the bone, considering Jennifer, 41, has made no secret of her desire to be a mother.

In contrast to his life in the 1990s, Pitt says he is now very content.

'I put much more emphasis on being a satisfied man. I’m satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much.

What comments? Aniston put on a happy face in Manhattan last night as she stepped out with boyfriend Justin Theroux

'A family is a risky venture, because the greater the love, the greater the loss. That’s the trade-off. But I’ll take it all.'

As the interview progressed, he opened up about raising his family with Angelina.

'I was surprised at how automatic it is, how much of it is instinctual. And now I have a great confidence and trust in those instincts. I mean, one sound at night and you’re awake and up because they may need you.

'Or when they start to have a tantrum, you know to divert them from spinning out by helping them focus on something. It just goes on and on. I tell them, “You can make a mess, but you’ve got to clean it up.'

Willing to dish to the press about secrets of his first marriage, the actor, who is currently filming World War Z, is far less happy when the press intrudes on his current private life.

Family ties: Brad, Angelina and their six children were recently in London while he filmed World War Z

'I mean, how many stories have you read that aren’t true, stories about me and Angie being married or fighting or splitting up? And when we don’t split up, there’s a whole new round that we’ve made up and we’re back together again!' he explained.

'We’ll get married when everyone can. We’re not splitting up. And we don’t have a seventh child yet.'

Pitt's comments were made during his promotional tour for Moneyball, which opens in the U.S. on September 23.

'I wasn't living an interesting life': Brad Pitt's uncensored account of his marriage to Jennifer Aniston

By Debbie Emery

Big smile, biting words: Brad Pitt gives himself two thumbs up as he slams ex-wife Jennifer Aniston in an interview with America's Parade magazine

Soon after Jennifer Aniston split from Brad Pitt, she pointedly said he was missing a 'sensitivity chip'.

And it seems she might be right.

The actor has given a stinging account of his 'pathetic' life and miserable marriage to the former Friends star in an uncensored interview with U.S. magazine Parade.

He also gushes about Angelina Jolie, saying that one of the 'smartest things' he ever did was to make her the mother of his children.

The 47-year-old, who is promoting his new film Moneyball, told the publication: 'I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony.

'I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic.

'It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself.'

Pitt then makes further scathing comments about his personal life.

Girls only! Angelina Jolie takes daughters Zahara and Shiloh on shopping spree

By SARAH FITZMAURICE

Girls only! After enjoying a family meal last night Angelina Jolie took her eldest daughters Shiloh and Zahara shopping in Knightsbridge today

Last night they dined as a family at a Japanese restaurant on the Kings road in Chelsea but today it was a girls only affair.

Angelina Jolie and her eldest daughters Zahara, six and Shiloh, five, were seen hitting the shops in London earlier today.

The actress, 36, was dressed in an all-black ensemble in a pair of baggy black trousers, a blouse and a cropped jacket which she teamed with a pair of nude patent heels.

Shopping up a storm: The girls were seen paying a visit to La Stupenderia, an Italian children’s boutique on Motcomb street

Little Zahara was wearing a black and white print smock over a pair of jeans and silver ballet pumps.

Meanwhile Shiloh had donned a pair of combat shorts a T-shirt with a tie print and a pair of camouflage shoes for the outing.

The little girl also showed off a number of temporary tattoos on her hands and legs.

Star clients: It appeared the girls had some success in the boutique as a helper was seen emerging from the shop carrying a black shopping bag

And given the very different styles of the two Jolie-Pitts daughter there was a number of stops made at different children’s clothing boutiques in the affluent area of Knightsbridge.

Angelina was seen holding her girls hands as they made their way around the shops while the girls enthusiastically pointed at different shops that caught their eye.

Different styles: Zahara was wearing a black and white print smock over a pair of jeans while Shiloh had donned a pair of combat shorts a T-shirt with a tie print for the outing

And the brood appeared to find some success in La Stupenderia, an Italian children’s boutique on Motcomb street, with a helper emerging after the girls carrying a shopping bag.

The girl group then made their way to French Connection on the Kings Road where Angelina is said to have spent £1,300 on children's clothes.

Statement style: The 36-year-old actress had opted for an all-black ensemble for the shopping trip

Surprise guest: Brad Pitt had stunned locals in Scotland recently when he turned up for lunch at a highland hotel, while on a motorbike ride last Sunday

Last night Brad had joined Angelina and their six children for a family meal at Benihana, a Japanese eatery also on the Kings Road.

While Angelina surprised shop owners, last week Brad Pitt had stunned locals in Scotland recently when he turned up for lunch at a highland hotel, while on a motorbike ride.

Locals were enjoying a ceilidh at the Kintail Lodge Hotel in Ross-shire when Pitt walked in and ordered a coronation chicken sandwich and soup.

Feeling crafty: Angelina Jolie took her children to a pottery decorating centre in Richmond earlier today

And the family were in for a treat as the craft centre is running a pirate and princess promotion over the summer holidays.

It seems that the children got into the swing of decorating leaving with bags of their creations and the day out proved to be quite a smash hit with the brood.

Angelina, who flew to the Netherlands over the weekend to attend the trial of Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga, was dressed in a midi white linen dress for the outing.

Cute kiddies: As Angelina emerged holding on to Knox's hand he was seen talking to his sister Zahara
